Drying Equipment Rental for Restoration Contractors

National Drying Equipment rents commercial and industrial drying equipment to water damage restoration, mold remediation and general contractors. When a big loss or a storm stretches your own fleet, rent the extra air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers and power you need, then send it back when the job is dry.

Why contractors rent instead of buy

  • Cover a large commercial loss without buying units that sit in the warehouse afterward
  • Keep up during storm season, when your own equipment is already out on jobs
  • Take a job in another part of the state without hauling your whole fleet
  • Skip the storage and upkeep on equipment you only need a few times a year

How much drying equipment does a job need?

IICRC S500 guidance starts at one air mover per room, plus one for every 50 to 70 square feet of wet floor and one for every 100 to 150 square feet of wet wall above two feet. A common starting point is one LGR dehumidifier for every four air movers. Our water damage equipment calculator does the math for you, and the drying equipment FAQ explains it.

Drying Equipment Rental FAQ

What drying equipment can I rent?

Air movers, LGR and desiccant dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers and negative air machines, HEPA vacuums, generators, power distribution, portable heaters and odor control equipment. Injectidry systems are available in the Atlanta area.

Is there a minimum rental period?

Many items have a 3 day minimum rental. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are listed on each equipment page.

Where do you deliver?

Job sites and warehouses across Georgia and the East Coast. We can send equipment out the same day you call. Our closest warehouse is in North Georgia, and we keep trailers loaded and ready to roll. See our service areas.

Do you rent equipment for mold remediation?

Yes. Remediation contractors rent HEPA air scrubbers and negative air machines for containment, dehumidifiers to bring humidity down, and odor control equipment for the musty smell that’s left behind.

What is the difference between LGR and desiccant dehumidifiers?

LGR (low grain refrigerant) dehumidifiers are the standard choice for most water losses in normal indoor temperatures. Desiccant dehumidifiers keep working in cold conditions and can pull humidity lower, which helps with dense materials and large commercial spaces.

What is the difference between an air scrubber and a negative air machine?

Often it is the same HEPA unit set up two ways. As an air scrubber it filters and recirculates the air inside the room. As a negative air machine it is ducted outside the containment, so the work area stays under negative pressure and dust or mold spores don’t escape.

Can I set up a rental account before a loss?

Yes. Set up a rental account ahead of time so you’re ready to order when a big loss or storm hits. More answers are on our drying equipment FAQ page.
